Book-Beer Pairing #1: MEASURE OF DANGER and Deschutes River Ale

Since much of MEASURE OF DANGER is set in the Oregon Coast Range, I thought it only fitting that a top-notch Oregon beer make the cut. Deschutes River Ale by Deschutes Brewery describes itself as: “Here’s one that’s clean and refreshing enough for the long haul.” Yes, long haul. If you’re reading a book like this, or you happen to be on the run from a deadly high-tech militia while trying to stop an enormous terror attack, you better not be thinking short haul. I highly recommend River Ale for sustained refreshment under these dangerous reading conditions.
